Client Worker for People with Mental Health Problems
The aim of the curriculum is to educate and train specialised welfare specialists who instruct and support individuals with special mental needs in the performance of their daily activities at work and in leisure time in order to ensure their independence and life quality as much as possible.
Graduates of this specialty can work in health care and social welfare institutions specialised in the provision of social services for people with special mental needs.
Workload of programme: 60 ECVET
Standard period of study: 1 year
Language of instruction: Estonian
The training is carried out in the working environment. 2/3 of the training takes place at the workplace and 1/3 in the College. The curriculum consists of three basic modules:
- evaluation of client operational capacity and activity planning
- mentoring and supporting the client during his/her activities of daily living
- career planning and entrepreneurship
