The Erasmus project “An automated external defibrillator (AED) helps to save the lives” will start at the college in February 2023 in collaboration with Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích from Czech Republic.
Main objective is to increase the knowledge and practical skills (of AED use and first aid) of adults who live in rural areas of Estonia and Czechia. For this purpose, a survey will be conducted among the population of the two countries, students and staff will be involved in organizing workshops in order to improve practical skills, and educational videos will be made to support the dissemination of information and increase the awareness about AED.
Lecturer Pille Tammpere, Development Manager Kersti Sõgel, Service and Cooperation Coordinator Silva-Sille Silgu and Communication Manager Jaanika Niinepuu from Tartu Health College are participating in the project. Additional information jaanikaniinepuu@nooruse.ee.
